In 2002 the Group entered a partnership with a well-established pressure vessel manufacturer to make tank containers and Zhonghau Tank Containers (HK) Limited was formed. It was one of the first manufacturers of tank containers in China .
The tank containers manufactured are used extensively in the transportation and bulk storage of liquid cargoes, including hazardous liquid chemicals. The tanks can be
transported on ocean liners, rail-road cars and semi-trailer trucks. This provides both a safety and a cost advantage over the conventional drums that traditionally were used to carry chemicals.
The factory located in Zhongshan has the capacity to produce over 1,000 tanks per year for both the international market and domestic market. Major customers are tank container leasing companies, logistics operators and chemical manufacturers.
